"We weren’t quite sure what was possible when we started — we just knew the old extension had to go. John helped us unlock the potential of the space, offering smart design options that evolved through conversation and careful thought. His attention to both the big picture and the small details has been invaluable. It’s made what could have been an overwhelming project feel completely manageable."

"It’s been a pleasure to work with John on our project. He has been engaged from the start, really seeking to understand the challenges and objectives we had for this work and translating it into a vision we’re really excited about! Planning permission was tougher than expected, with demands to reduce the height and push for a more traditional “box on the back” design, but John’s confidence and knowledge made all the difference. He negotiated successfully with the council to secure approval for a scheme that remains true to our vision. We’re now moving onto the construction itself and again John has been a huge asset in helping us navigate through balancing the scope and budget for the project as we approach contractors."

"John’s expertise shone throughout the project, especially with the bathroom coordination and creating an inviting open-plan layout. He balanced creativity with practicality, ensuring the design was beautiful but fully buildable. Even after delivering the technical drawings, John stayed involved, answering questions and helping with site challenges - that level of dedication gave me huge peace of mind."

"This was our first time using an architect and John was brilliant at answering all our questions, explaining the planning process and helping us find a builder. He was always available throughout the build and the project was completed on time, on budget and carried out to a really high standard."

"The level of detail in John’s drawings gave us a lot of confidence going into the build. Every element had been worked out and coordinated, which helped avoid surprises and delays on site, and John was available throughout the build to confirm any questions or clarifications that arose."

"We knew our music room would be a challenge acoustically, but John handled the coordination with confidence and care. He translated the acoustic consultant’s technical input into clear design details that our builder could actually follow — and the finished result is exactly what we hoped for."
